UysFaber Inc!

UysFaber was officially Inc'd as of last Thursday, so we are now UysFaber Inc.! This has kept us very busy, as we also attended the Green Lantern advance screening, and the next morning we hit the road, manning our table at the Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con 2011!

Working with Paradise Comics at the show, UysFaber had a table, while Andrew Uys interviewed creators, actors, and guests in conjunction with Panel Culture. The Wizard show was a total blast, and we were running the entire team. We owe Matt, Andrea, Amanda, and Charles a very big thank you for helping keep the Paradise Comic's booth running, while also promoting HardWear with our t-shirts designed by the fantastic Niki!!

However, before the 10 hour drive to the show, UysFaber attended the Green Lantern advance screening in Toronto... in force! With over 14 people there, we managed to take up an entire aisle to ourselves. Then with Andrew on the road, Scott stepped up as editor, and quickly uploaded the reviews that came flooding to our e-mail. Between the four reviews that were posted to our site, and two more in the Paradise Comics News section, we had a few of our own employees starting to feel like we had become a spam bot! Our prolific writing levels aside, this gave us a chance to see everyone's writing styles, whether they were an artist or a... well, writer! And whatever each person thought of the movie itself, everyone agreed that they had a fantastic time hanging out together and talking about the movie afterwards!

UysFaber talent DovSmiley was the instigator for this whole event, a huge GL fan, and he was hoping to see the movie before spending the next two months on the road. Sadly it did not work out for him... but we certainly enjoyed seeing the latest super-hero summer movie before everyone else!

Lady J was well attended-to by her Jackie Lackeys, who made sure that she was kept well stocked in soda, popcorn, and other yummy treats. A big shout out to our Agents of Awesome who managed to make it out with the UysFaber creators. You ladies kept us on target (and me far calmer) with all your help!

After all this, and a great time in Philadelphia, Lady J (aka Jaclyn Armstrong) started her first paid week at Paradise Comics... but all this news can be found in her blog posted just yesterday.

So, with Sunday evening closing out the crazy-busy-awesome of the last two weeks, it is time for this gentleman to watch the start of the new season of True Blood, and then catch up on some dearly-missed sleep!
