Smiley Spot: Comic Art- Jewish Perspective

The following is a series that I worked on using comic art to depict Judaism. I was challenged by a fellow art student to look at the representations of Jews in art, and to reapropriate them in a modern context. I wanted to share these images because they try to show comic art and the use of panelling in a gallery art setting, where the comic style we love gains an audience that it never gets for no apparent reason.

These are souly my works, and I hope you take the edgy uses of common symbols is seen as my personal take on what it means to be Jewish in the modern world.
